How FeeHawk makes money

We believe you deserve to know how we keep the lights on. FeeHawk earns revenue through three channels:

  • Merchant statement audit services. Businesses pay us to analyze their processing statements and identify savings. This is our primary service.
  • Affiliate commissions. Some product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click through and sign up with a provider, we may earn a referral fee at no additional cost to you.
  • Consultation fees. We offer paid consultations for businesses that want personalized guidance on processor selection and fee optimization.

How affiliate links work

When a product review or comparison page includes an affiliate link, clicking it takes you to the provider's website. If you sign up, we may receive a commission from that provider. This does not change the price you pay. Providers do not pay us to write reviews, and they do not get to approve or edit our content before publication.

Not every product we review has an affiliate relationship. We review products based on relevance to our audience, not based on whether a commission is available. Products without affiliate links receive the same editorial treatment as those with them.

Editorial independence

Our reviews, ratings, and recommendations are based on independent research: official pricing data, user reviews from Reddit, Trustpilot, BBB, G2, and Capterra, competitive analysis, and real math. Every rating comes with a justification. Every pricing comparison shows the actual numbers.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our ratings, rankings, or editorial opinions. If a product has high fees, inconsistent support, or a history of fund holds, we say so regardless of whether we earn a commission from them. You can see this in practice: some of our highest-rated products have no affiliate relationship, and some products with affiliate links receive critical reviews.

Our credibility depends on giving you honest, accurate information. The moment we shade a review to protect a commission, we lose the trust that makes this entire business work. That is a trade we will never make.

How we rate products

Every product review includes ratings across four dimensions: pricing, features, support, and ease of use. The overall rating is a weighted average (pricing 30%, features 25%, support 20%, ease of use 25%), calibrated against other products in the same category.

Ratings are based on verified data, not gut feelings. We cross-reference pricing from official sources and at least one independent review site. We read user reviews across multiple platforms to assess support quality and ease of use. We show our math and note where data is uncertain.

Your choices

You are never obligated to use our affiliate links. If you prefer, you can navigate directly to any provider's website. Our reviews include the provider's official URL, and you can always type it into your browser yourself. We will never penalize you or withhold information for not using an affiliate link.
